Home Telephone occupies the former Home Telephone Company building at 50 E Fourth Street, one block off Third Street in downtown Dayton. The exterior keeps its early-twentieth-century commercial detailing, while the interiors were rebuilt as open loft apartments with exposed brick, tall ceilings, and oversized windows.

Layouts here lean toward flexible one-bedroom and one-bedroom-with-office plans in the 700 square foot range, plus studios and larger two-bedroom lofts when they turn over. The office alcove makes this building a common pick for people who work from home a few days a week and want a door between the desk and the bedroom.

Being a block off the main strip gives Home Telephone a quieter street presence while keeping every Third Street restaurant, brewery, and coffee shop within a two-minute walk. Residents also have private access to the district fitness center in the Huffman basement.
