Living at The Huffman Lofts
The Huffman Lofts sit at 113 E Third Street, in the middle of the Fire Blocks District in downtown Dayton, Ohio. The building takes its name from the Huffman family, whose Huffman Manufacturing Company — later known for Huffy bicycles — once operated here. That industrial past is still visible in the apartments: heavy timber columns, exposed brick party walls, and factory-scale windows that pull daylight deep into each loft.
Floor plans at the Huffman are named after people and products tied to the building's history — the Janette, the Huffy, the William, the Lydia, and Huffy Manufacturing among them — and they range from compact one-bedroom lofts around 600 square feet to two-bedroom layouts near 1,000 square feet. Every unit includes an in-unit washer and dryer, central air and heat, and a modern kitchen. The building is pet friendly.
The Huffman is also home to the district's private resident fitness center, located in the basement, which residents of all Fire Blocks District apartment buildings can access with a secure key. Because Third Street is the district's main spine, residents step out the door into restaurants, bars, coffee, and event space without needing a car for a night out.
