The Elks

The Elks is the former Elks Lodge at 120 E Third Street, and it is the most ceremonial of the Fire Blocks District buildings — arched windows, deep sills, and grander common spaces than a typical warehouse conversion. Floor plans are named for Dayton figures and places, including the Deeds, the Adam, the Kettering, and the Jeff.

Most apartments here are one-bedroom, one-bathroom lofts between roughly 620 and 730 square feet, which makes The Elks the district's deepest inventory of one-bedroom homes. The Jeff is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom loft of about 1,000 square feet — the only 2 bed / 2 bath layout in the district — and it turns over rarely.

The building faces Third Street directly, so residents look out over the district's restaurants and event nights. Residents have private access to the resident fitness center in the Huffman basement, and downtown parking is available with the current leasing special.
